Yamas
अहिंसासत्यास्तेयब्रह्मचर्यापरिग्रहा यमाः ॥३०॥
ahiṁsā-satyāsteya-brahmacaryāparigrahā yamāḥ ॥ 30 ॥
The yamas are ahiṁsā (nonviolence), satya (truthfulness), asteya (refrainment from stealing), brahmacarya (moderation), aparigraha (renunciation of unnecessary possessions).
